i-D Magazine
For this project I was challenged with the task of creating a realistic looking magazine cover and double page spread about the influence of social media.
For the creation of this cover and double page spread I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
When designing the magazine cover I used Adobe Photoshop as I wanted to create a digital yet realistic looking collage of a persons face. To create this I used photography of different newspapers and layered each one on top of each part of the persons face.
In order to accomplish design that is seen on the double page spread I used Adobe Illustrator as I wanted to create a design that looked as if the original page had been ripped in half revealing the title of the page that was underneath.
To create this I used the layer tool to create the effect of the ripped page and I used the gradient tool to create the idea that the word 'IDENTITY' is fading in and out.
